A beautiful garden tour…

Last weekend, my sister-in-law Margie invited me to go on her neighborhood’s garden tour. Oh, what beautiful gardens! They had all done such a fantastic  job at creating such vibrant and colorful themes…

Each garden had it’s own characteristic, but the one characteristic I felt in all of them was a feeling of serenity…a desire to linger and just drink in the beauty of the surroundings…I think that is every gardener’s goal…to create a beautiful setting that makes people want to forget the outside world, breath deeply and just absorb the feeling of peace and beauty all around. If that was the goal of each of the gardeners that day, I’d say they had achieved it…

I took many photos that day but will just share my favorites with you …

pink flowers

Is there such a thing as too many flowers? I hope not, because I just have a few more to share with you…

I hope that you have enjoyed looking at these photos … I love, LOVE  looking at flower photos and I hope you do too!…

After touring all these beautiful gardens, I think I will share one of my favorite recipes using a popular garden favorite – zuchinni!…But I will save my recipe for “Caramel Pecan Upside-Down Zuchinni Cake” for my next blog!  See you then!…

If you are like me and love to look at flower photos, please check out more of my photos at Flickr.com

  2. Hi, De! Thanks for your comment! I can’t wait to share with you one of my favorite recipes for zuchinni!

  3. I love your blog and all of the pictures, especially the presentation of the desserts! I am not a baker, but am inspired to try making some of your recipies … perhaps for the women in my book club next month. I’ll keep checking back for ideas, but so far the Walnut Sundae Cake with Maple Cream Sauce looks like the one I will have to try. I will let you know how it goes! Thanks for the ideas. I look forward to more!

  4. Thanks for the comment, Lisa, and please let me know how it goes with the cake!:)
